Shawn Barber macht eine ganz neue Erfahrung
Am Dienstag nahmen Stabhochsprung-Weltmeister Shawn Barber und Vize-Weltmeister Raphael Holzdeppe die Stabhochsprung-Anlage auf dem Hauptbahnhof in Zürich für das grosse Spektakel am Mittwochabend (ab 18 Uhr) schon unter die Lupe. Während der Deutsche diese Anlage schon von vielen Wettkämpfen kennt, machte sich der Kanadier für „Weltklasse Zürich im Hauptbahnhof“ zum ersten Mal mit dem Steg vertraut.

On Tuesday, Pole Vault World Champion Shawn Barber and Vice-World Champion Raphael Holzdeppe took a glance at the Pole Vault facility in Zurich’s main train station which will be host on Wednesday (starting 6 pm). While the German is familiar with the facility from other competitions, it’s a whole new world for the Canadian at the “Weltklasse Zürich im Hauptbahnhof”.

16 athletes will be awarded a Diamond Trophy and 40 000 US dollars at Weltklasse Zürich on Thursday, 3 September. But all events of the meeting’s programme will be part of an exciting post-world championship showdown. 20 new individual title holders, six relay world champions, and all Swiss athletics stars will compete at Letzigrund Stadium.
Weltklasse Zürich 2015 – Event by Event
16 athletes will be awarded a Diamond Trophy and 40 000 US dollars at Weltklasse Zürich on Thursday, 3 September. But all events of the meeting’s programme will be part of an exciting post-world championship showdown. 20 new individual title holders, six relay world champions, and all Swiss athletics stars will compete at Letzigrund Stadium.
